The Danger of Blood Consumption

The Bible, both the Old and New testament especially clearly in the Torah that never changes is very clear and consistent that YAH forbids us people from consuming blood. This command is deeply spiritual—it has to do with the sacredness of life and the covenant relationship between YAH and us.

1. Leviticus 17:10–12 (KJV)

10 "And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood."

Meaning:

  • Blood is sacred because it carries life, the life that the Most High has bestow upon us

  • Only YAH has the right to designate its use—it not for eating, it is not just eating but not for going into our body system. This means even by blood transfusion

  • putting blood into our bodies is a serious offense, and results in being cut off whether we see ourselves being cut off or not, understand that we are not under Yah's coverage if we do this.

The word atonement is much deeper and you will study deeper about that later, just know that the most high is not a pagan god that is blood thirsty and need our blood. There are much more deeper things about this atonement thing.

2. Genesis 9:4 (KJV) — Given to Noah after the flood

"But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."

Meaning:

  • Animals/flesh with blood must not be eaten.

  • This was a universal law, given long before Moses and the Levitical priesthood.

  • YAH made it clear to all mankind——not to consume blood.

3. Deuteronomy 12:23–25 (KJV)

23 "Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee..."

Meaning:

  • YAH connects obedience to this command with blessing and well-being.

  • He repeats it clearly: Do not eat blood.

  • it is a generational curse, if you do this that curse gets you and also passes down to your generational line.

4. Acts 15:20 (KJV) — New Testament confirmation

"But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood."

Meaning:

  • This was part of the ruling for Gentile believers coming into the faith.

  • Even in the New Covenant, the apostles upheld the command to abstain from blood—because YAH’s moral and spiritual law does not change.

Application for our time, today

Followers of Yah should:

  • Avoid foods that contain blood (e.g., rare meats, blood sausage)

  • Avoid spiritual teachings or rituals that normalize drinking blood

  • Understand the symbolic weight of blood in Scripture

Understand that:

The Spiritual laws about blood still apply

although some things we no longer need to do that is in the torah, the do not consume blood law cannot change because blood is the life that belongs to Yah Only.

Final Word

Blood is not just a regular substance—it is life, it is sacred, and it belongs to YAH alone.

 Leviticus 17:12

“No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.”
