The Sacred Weight of Passover, synopsis

1. Passover is a Life-or-Death Covenant

Passover is not a symbolic ritual like church communion—it is a sacred covenant ceremony observed on the 14th day of the first Biblical month, carrying deep spiritual consequences. Participating wrongly invites judgment.

1 Corinthians 11:29-30 (KJV)"For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning Yahushua’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."

2. Passover Origins: Pre-Messiah

Instituted before the Messiah, Passover was established during the Hebrew exodus from Egypt and observed yearly.

Exodus 12:8-12 (KJV) "And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Yod Hey Waw Hey's Passover. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Yod Hey Waw Hey's throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever."

Numbers 9:1–5 (KJV) (Refer to text for full event account of wilderness Passover observance.)

The original meal involved lamb, unleavened bread, and bitter herbs. Now, because Yahushua is the true Passover Lamb, there should be no lamb consumption.

3. The Current way to do Passover was instituted by Yahushua                                                                                      Passover, the way it is supposed to be done now, was instituted by the Messiah Himself.

He was very eager to have this Passover with his disciples

Luke 22:15-20 (KJV)"And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer..."

Yahushua shared the Passover with His disciples in a special way before His departure because He wanted to teach them how it should be done once He was no longer with them physically. He was setting an example for future generations. As a Jew, He had celebrated Passover every year, but during this final one, He introduced something different—He used the bread and the cup to teach a deeper meaning.

However, the bread and cup were not meant to represent His literal body and blood, as later twisted by those with pagan influence. We understand this because symbolic acts carry great spiritual power. What we do symbolically often becomes real in our lives—it shapes how we live, think, and behave.

In Scripture, symbolic actions were often used by YAH to reveal spiritual truths. The prophet Ezekiel, for example, was told to lie on his side to symbolize Israel’s iniquity:

Ezekiel 4:4-6 (KJV)"Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it... For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity..."

This shows that symbolic acts can deliver real prophetic messages from YAH.

That’s why we must never symbolically drink blood or eat flesh, even in remembrance. The Messiah would not have told us to do something that directly violates Torah.

Leviticus 17:10-12 (KJV)"Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it... For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity..."

Saying that wine is His blood and drinking it “in remembrance” opens the door to dangerous ideas like accepting blood transfusions, eating rare meat, or even drinking real blood—practices that go against the laws of the Most High.

We won’t dive deeply here into the issue of calling bread His body, but it too is inappropriate and spiritually dangerous. If we declare or act out something symbolically, we are setting the stage for it to manifest physically. That’s why we must be careful what we say and do, even in ritual.

The bread and the cup are not about blood and dead flesh. They represent the Word of Life and Living Water—not death and blood.

4. The Cup, Bread, and Bitter Herbs

  • Cup = Living Water

  • Bread = Word of Yah (unleavened)

  • Bitter Herbs = Remembrance of suffering, slavery, and trials

John 4:10, 14 (KJV) "Thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water... But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst..."

Matthew 26:39 (KJV) "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

John 18:11 (KJV) "Then said Yahushua unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?"

5. Promised Land Passover                                                                                                                                                        In the Promised Land, bitter herbs will be mixed with milk and honey to reflect prosperity and restoration.

6. Judas’ True Betrayal                                                                                                                                                                Judas was judged not just for betrayal, but for taking Passover in hypocrisy.

John 13:11 (KJV) "For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean."

7. Torah Keepers Only                                                                                                                                                                Only those who honor Yah’s laws should partake in Passover.

Exodus 12:48 (KJV)"...no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof."

8. Dangerous to Partake Without the Law                                                                                                                             Taking Passover without understanding or reverence causes physical and spiritual judgment.

1 Corinthians 11:27–30 (KJV) "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of Yahushua, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of Yahushua... For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself not discerning the Yahushua's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

The phrase shall be guilty of the body and blood of Yahushua means we shall be judged as guilty of causing the suffering of Yahushua.

The phrase, “not discerning the Yahushua's body”

"Not discerning Yahushua’s body" refers to:

Not understanding:

  1. Yahushua Himself—His sacrifice, purpose, and identity as the Passover Lamb

  2. The seriousness of the covenant meal

  3. The body of believers, that we must do all things in unity and holiness.

  4. The sacred weight of what Yahushua established through Passover, and you partake casually or in sin, you are disrespecting the covenant, and bringing harm to yourself

9. “He that eateth and drinketh unworthily…                                                                                                                     1 Corinthians 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself

If we “drink this cup of Yahushua, unworthily”

What does "unworthily" really mean?
It does not mean a person has to be perfect. Instead, it means partaking of the sacred meal (Passover) with:

  1. No reverence

  2. No repentance

  3. No understanding

  4. Or while in disobedience or hypocrisy (like Judas did).

This includes:

  1. Participating without honoring Yah’s laws (Torah)

  2. Treating the sacred act like a ritual or tradition without spiritual reflection

  3. Engaging in pagan customs while claiming to be in covenant

Hebrew concept connection: In Torah, offering something "unclean" or acting presumptuously before YAH (like Nadab and Abihu in Leviticus 10) brings a judgment of wrath.

“Eateth and drinketh damnation to himself…”

Damnation = Judgment (Greek: krima)
This doesn’t just mean “going to hell” in the Western sense. It means bringing upon yourself things that will happen to you right now while you are living on earth:

  • Spiritual judgment which brings physical consequences (as verse 30 explains: sickness, weakness, even death)

  • A breach in your covenant relationship with the Most High

This is a covenant violation. You're taking something sacred and polluting it, which invites YAH’s corrective discipline or wrath.

10. Sickness and Sleep (Death & Blindness)                                                                                                                    1 Corinthians 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. Means, we are cursed to be not of a strong mind, full of fear and sickly. The word “sleep” means death but not just that meaning alone, don’t forget the big important sleep as in being wide awake but lacking knowledge. Being unable to see and understand what is going on right under our noses.

Because of deep-seated lack of discernment we do not gain wisdom to grow and no one can be truly blessed if they do not have wisdom.

11. Message from Yah                                                                                                                                                             “It is up to you what you drink—My cup of salvation or the cup of My wrath.”
The “cup” is symbolic. What’s in it depends on your heart and obedience.

Psalm 116:13 (KJV) "I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Yod Hey Waw Hey."

12. Cannot Mix Holiness and Paganism                                                                                                                    1 Corinthians 10:21 (KJV) "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Yahushua, and the cup of devils..."

Revelation 18:4 (KJV) "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins..."

13. The Communion Error                                                                                                                                                      The church has taught communion as a frequent cleansing ritual. This is false. Messiah took what the church refers to as communion once—at Passover. It must only be done yearly, during Passover, and only by those in right standing.

Matthew 26:17–19 (KJV) "...the disciples came to Yahushua, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?"

Exodus 12:24 (KJV) "And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever."

14. The Curse of Illegal Passover                                                                                                                                         Inviting disobedient and or ignorant people to our Passover table brings a curse upon us. You become complicit in their sin and death. This includes family and friends who refuse to keep the law or have no idea about Yah’s law. Their blood will be on your hands.

Ezekiel 3:18 (KJV) "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning... his blood will I require at thine hand."

15. Wine = Leaven = Sin                                                                                                                                                       The cup the Messiah shared cannot contain wine. Wine contains yeast—a symbol of sin. Whatever is in our cup cannot represent sin. During Unleavened Bread, nothing with leaven. Yeast, baking soda, baking powder (including wine or vinegar) should not be consumed.

Exodus 12:15 (KJV) "Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread..."

Matthew 16:6 (KJV) "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees..."

1 Corinthians 5:6–8 (KJV) "...Purge out therefore the old leaven..."

16. Obedience and Full Commitment

2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV) "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate..."

Passover is nothing to take lightly, as we have been doing. It is an ordered feast for all of Yah’s obedient, law-abiding people. The key thing to understand about Passover is that it is for people who are fully obedient to what is revealed to them about Yah’s written laws and Yah’s personal instructions.

Since things are revealed to us bit by bit, then, Passover can be taken by those who have fully accepted the truth they currently know and are eager, happy and fully willing to be a part of the body of Yahushua and the Most High.

Know this, after your first Passover you can not change your mind and run off without severe consequences because it is as mocking the suffering of Yahushua and as putting him through the suffering all over again.

So you must be sure. Passover is as Baptism. You can not turn back without serious repercussions.

This Sacred Covenant meal, Passover, brings on a huge blessing if taken with the right heart and that it the heart of full commitment no matter what is in our cup. And having no intent to run off when the fire get hot because it will get hot.

The goal to head for is to be a person with a humble heart, a person who has stopped participating in:

  1. All world holidays such as Christmas, Easter, and man-made celebratory days like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc.

  2. Reading and following horoscopes in the way of the world.

  3. Practices involving the blood and body parts of others.

And are actively transitioning to:
4. Eating clean foods.
5. Learning the truth about synthetic pharmaceuticals and harmful vaccines.
6. Removing pagan names of days of the week and months of the year from their speech, as commanded.

Along with this, every year we must ask Yah to reveal hidden sin, weaknesses that are there in our spiritual lives that Yah wants us to conquer that is stopping or blocking us from taking the Passover. If there is such things, understand that if it is blocking us from taking the first, that same thing is blocking us from getting to deeper or higher spiritual levels and thus is cause blockage in the five pillars of our health and wellbeing journey. That is spiritual health, physical, emotional, mental and financial.

17. Helping New Believers                                                                                                                                                    If someone wants to learn and participate we must help them, not force but help making very sure they fully understand everything they need to before they commit.

Exodus 12:49 (KJV)"One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you."

18. The Second Passover                                                                                                                                                    There is a second Passover and sometime we must go for that if we are not in the spiritual condition that we ought to be in for the first Passover. Passover is mandatory for every believer so the second is there for those who not by intention and not by their plan is genuinely not ready for the first.

Although the second is there we must strive for the first.

Numbers 9:9–13 (KJV) – The Law of the Second Passover                                                                                                     And Yod Hey Waw Hey spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Passover unto Yod Hey Waw Hey.The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it.But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the Passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of Yod Hey Waw Hey in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

19. A New Era of Truth                                                                                                                                                             We are entering a time of clear separation between the living and the dead. Yah is removing ignorance. The lukewarm and willfully disobedient will be judged. The time for participating in pagan rituals is over. “That was then, this is now.”

Revelation 3:15–16 (KJV) "So then because thou art lukewarm... I will spue thee out of my mouth."

Hosea 4:6 (KJV) "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."

20. Choose Barley, Not Corn                                                                                                                                                  Barley (like the Passover wave offering) represents life and restoration. Corn (linked to the pagan god Tammuz) represents death and scarcity.

Leviticus 23:10–11 (KJV) "...bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest..."

Ezekiel 8:14 (KJV) "...women weeping for Tammuz."

21. Blessing or Curse                                                                                                                                                             Do Passover righteously and we receive a blessing, do Passover in a dishonorable way and we shall receive a curse

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) "...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life..."

Galatians 6:7 (KJV) "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
